Our Dogs

Picture

We have had at least one miniature schnauzer living with us since 1975.  We've had other dogs-- beagles, basset hounds, dachshunds, and pugs.  Our grand-dogs are English setters and St. Berdoodles. However, miniature schnauzers are our favorite.  These dogs are affectionate, easily housebroken, and intelligent.  They are active and usually get enough exercise patrolling the house.

Our family is proud to own ten miniature schnauzers: Sophie, Emma, Hazel, Luther, Jasper, Elsa, Frances, Pearl, Marta and Louie. They do not shed! It's a good thing since miniature schnauzers love to sit with their people!  Ours are groomed every month.  We have them cut shorter in warm weather.

Hazel

Hazel came to us in 2018. Now that Hazel has retired from motherhood, she remains energetic and playful and loves to run in the yard chasing a soccer ball. She has a unique lighter liver pepper and white color combination.  Hazel weighs 10 pounds.

Louie

Louie is a black and silver male and was born in our house.  His parents are Emma and Luther and he will one day be a father.  Louie got the best qualities from his parents.  His  coloring, small head, soulful eyes, and
sweet disposition are from Luther. Louie's thicker hair and smaller stature are from his mother.  He is 10 pounds and 10 inches high.

Louie is AKC registered.

Emma

Emma is a liver female from Arkansas.  She is a busy-body and loves to bark.  She is gentle and patient with humans and loves attention.  She follows us around when we are eating.  Emma is a wonderful mother.  We have been so pleased with the way she calmly delivers her puppies.  She is very attentive to her babies' needs.  Emma is only 10 inches tall, and weighs 12 pounds.  Her hair is thick and has lightened up since she moved in with us, but it is still brown.

Emma is AKC registered.

Jasper

Jasper is a liver pepper parti male from Michigan.  He loves to chase
after balls, frisbees, and the other dogs.  He is about 13 inches high,
weights 13 pounds, and when his hair is too long, it is curly.  Jasper loves affection from humans.  Jasper also loves our Hazel, but alas, she is spayed so their relationship will remain as
friends.

Jasper is AKC registered.

Luther

Luther is a black and silver male from Minnesota.  He loves to run out the doggy door to see what is going on in his yard.  He is about 12 inches high but appears to have a petite build and weighs only 10 pounds. Luther has a sweet disposition and has been patient with our grandchildren.

Luther is AKC registered.

Elsa

Elsa is a black and silver female from Tennessee.  She loves her humans
and loves to play with Louie.  She is another one who thinks about
people food.  Elsa is 12 inches high, weighs 13 pounds, and has the softest hair of any of our 7 dogs.  It is thick and makes her hot if we skip her haircut.  Elsa has not had a litter yet.

Elsa is AKC registered.

Pearl

Pearl has a black nose, black pads to her feet, and a white mega coat. She is 10 pounds and 11 inches high.

Sophie

Sophie is our oldest dog, and is a companion member of our fierce little pack. Sophie is not a mother, but she's certainly a lover! When she's not cuddling with us, she's enforcing the rules of the household and making sure the other dogs toe the line.
